To promote healthy forests and to reduce extreme fire loading, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service performs "prescribed burning". Exhaustive planning and preparation of many resources develop into a safe and methodical process. Pictured below are some shots of a March 7, 2000 prescribed burn in different areas of Ringwood State Park in New Jersey. These images were scanned from prints of 35mm film. |
